Since we bought our house we’ve done a few thing on the inside to make it ours. We’ve painted a couple rooms and built a bookshelf. But largely this spring and summer have been about the garden.
Here are a couple pictures of the backyard to give you an idea of where we started.
Starting in late March, we pruned back our lilac bushes. These things are very overgrown. I was taught that lilac bushes should be pruned once they get more than 1-2 inches in diameter. Most of ours are currently more like 8-10 inches in diameter, and have dead branches. So we’re slowly pruning them back to encourage new growth, and to hopefully bring them back to full health. Because lilacs are my favorite.
We’ve come a long way since March. Stay tuned to see how things have progressed.Comments: Be the first to comment
